Role Overview

The Commercial Development Manager – APAC will be responsible for defining and implementing the commercial growth strategy across the Asia-Pacific region, with a focus primarily in high-value dental sectors, in the medical sector, and secondarily in any other sector with potential for development.

This role reports directly to global management and will lead a team of two local Area Managers, driving business development through strategic partners, distributors, and key accounts (KOLs, premium clinics, dental chains).

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a person who is able to think outside the box, flexible, and able to operate in a dynamic, multicultural environment while identifying innovative solutions to grow the business.


Key Responsibilities

Strategy and Business Development

  • Define and implement the APAC commercial development strategy aligned with global business objectives.

  • Review of all our current representations in APAC.

  • Analyze local markets to identify growth opportunities, new segments, and trends in the premium dental sector.

  • Develop market entry or consolidation plans for (each) key markets.

  • Identify, select, and develop strategic partners, distributors, and key accounts (in each Market)

  • Ensure accurate reporting and precise monitoring of all commercial activities, maintaining complete visibility of opportunities, deals, clients, and partners via structured CRM usage.

  • Prepare periodic reports on pipeline, forecasts, market performance, and KPIs to support management decision-making.

Team Management

  • Lead and develop a team of two Area Managers, ensuring alignment on objectives, priorities, and market approach.

  • Define clear KPIs, monitor performance, and support professional growth of team members.

  • Foster a results-oriented, collaborative, and innovative team culture.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Manage relationships with strategic clients, opinion leaders (KOLs), and key commercial partners.

  • Represent the company at trade shows, congresses, scientific events, and commercial meetings in the APAC region.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with HQ’s Marketing and constantly collaborate with the APAC Management to adapt messaging, materials, and strategies to local market needs.

  • Provide structured feedback to R&D and management regarding market requirements, client needs, and product opportunities.

  • Ensure the brand is positioned as a reference in the high-value dental and medical segment.


Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 7+ years in commercial development, international sales, or business development.

  • Proven experience in the dental, medical, or high-value healthcare sector (devices or digital solutions).

  • Demonstrated success in developing complex, multicultural markets, preferably in APAC.

  • Experience managing and coordinating commercial teams.

Languages

  • Mandarin: fluent / native (mandatory)

  • English: fluent (mandatory)

  • Knowledge of additional Asian languages is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel frequently across APAC (and occasionally globally).

  • Familiarity with local distribution models, regulations, and business practices in APAC markets.
